So Fresh and So Green

Wonder Thunder Muslin Produce Bags

wonder thunder!

Referendum 2

An ordinance proposing the use of reusable bags. (Yep, again.)

But this time Seattle duo Wonder Thunder’s adorable vegetable satchels will get your vote.

Replace those disposable plastic produce bags with Meagan Claire Hall and Flatstock artist Sasha Barr’s silk-screened pouches. Handmade from natural muslin, each set of four features Wonder Thunder’s own retro-styled illustrations — including the toothy Moody Toast character — in red, green, or blue water-based inks.

Don’t think all their environmental efforts are in the bag though. Fun tea towels, place mats, and cloth napkins have appeal that can’t be repealed.

Consider this our endorsement.

Available this weekend at Bumbershoot’s Flatstock show in Seattle Center’s Fisher Pavilion, 305 Harrison Street (206-684-7200 or seattlecenter.com); Bluebottle Art Gallery, 415 East Pine Street (206-325-1592 or bluebottleart.com); online at wonder-thunder.com.
