Camera Obscura

The Best Camera by Chase Jarvis

the best camera!

Using a stealth camera-phone shot, your dinner companion catches you with greasy strands of chile con queso hanging from your horrified mouth.

And then you snap.

Sneaky shutterbugs can hone their craft with The Best Camera, a new iPhone app, book, and website that pays homage to camera phones and proves great photographs aren’t about the gear.

The pet project of Seattleite and international photog Chase Jarvis, the easy-to-use app features fourteen camera filters, such as Paris (high-impact black and white), Candy (high saturation inspired by Jarvis’s early advertising campaigns), and Slate (creates sleek textural images).

One click uploads shots to Twitter, Facebook, or The Best Camera website, where international viewers can rate your pics.

With Jarvis’s tips and tricks, you’ll get the kind of images that make you smile.

Rather than say “cheese.”
