Frugalista n. a fashionable person who ransacks vintage and consignment stores seeking deals. Choosista n. one who instead selects a few infinitely wearable designer pieces each season.
Those who fall into the latter camp will adore Under.Ligne, Doo-Ri Chung’s new diffusion line. The badass jersey separates don’t sacrifice casual cool but do come at a lower price (most under $300).
Black, white, and gray shirts and dresses exhibit Chung’s masterful draping. Dainty zipper accents on tanks and tees provide not-too-tough hardware. The occasional ruffles add dimension to the collection.
And sexy leggings with zippers or leather inserts create the perfect base to an outfit.
While leaving something more than pennies to pinch.

Does anyone on this site besides myself think that clothes, most under $300, is a bargain? Especially in this economy? I guess I'm just here for things to do and places to eat because all of the emails relating to fashion are way out of my, and everyone I know here in Seattle, price range. Average income in Seattle = $50,000. Household = $120,000. We're not spending $300 on jersey separates.

I would just like to add, even though Seattle isn't known as the most fashion-forward city, there are in fact many people here who appreciate good fashion and are willing to spend that kind of money. It all comes down to where you believe your personal priorities lay. To me, I'm willing to spend big bucks on clothes I love, but that's just me. Side note: I think houses in Seattle cost way more. $120,000 seems like a bargain from what I've seen.
