 Chef Matt Dillon’s beloved restaurant finally reopens (and upgrades from its former strip mall digs) in Capitol Hill’s getting-more-awesome-by-the-minute Melrose Market.
Why: An intimate dining experience with ever-changing dishes sourcing the best of local, sustainable cuisine.
When: Tues.-Sat., 5:30-11 p.m. Expanded hours coming mid-June, including breakfast, lunch, and brunch.

MFA Exhibit Opening Celebration
A packed-house, dress-to-be-seen shindig featuring a new crop of artists and their thesis-level work.
Why: Get a first look at cutting-edge conceptual projects and finely wrought photographs.

An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein
Ten vignettes take a darkly humorous look at the favorite tomes of this kid’s poet, from Where the Sidewalk Ends to The Giving Tree.
Why: A night of sexy, witty (sometimes cynical) theater probing into life’s peculiarities.
