Thunderbitch: Women Designers in Northwest Rock 1966-2010
What: Peruse more than 40 years’ worth of music paraphernalia (DIY fliers, top-selling album covers), designed by female artists like Lynda Barry, Alice Wheeler, Ellen Forney, Neko Case, and Catherine Weinstein (a.k.a. Thunderbitch).
Why: An all-star lineup of live musical acts, including Visqueen and Damien Jurado.

Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails: Rum Class
What: The women-only booze-education event aims to preserve and celebrate historic recipes and rituals of femme drink slingers past and present.
Why: Local bartender Marley Tomic Beard offers suggestions of what to do with the potent spirit.

What: The dreamy exhibit pays homage to Coleridge’s opium-induced poetry — as well as the 1980 cult film classic — through drawing, painting, photography, and sculpture.
Why: A firsthand look at the melted ceramic roller skates worn by Olivia Newton-John.
