You don’t need to be a math whiz to know that the chocolate-to-guilt ratio skyrockets with consumption levels.
Feel good about indulging with Oakland-based Fearless Chocolate.
The company donates 1 percent of annual proceeds to change-makers nominated by their customers: Just enter an individual or organization on the company’s website, and at the end of the year, anyone who’s made a suggestion gets to vote on the recipient.
Plus, all of the single-origin, organic bars are made with raw, unroasted cacao, which, according to the company, means more nutrients and antioxidants. So chow down with abandon on flavors like Sweet & Hot (with hibiscus ginger), Exploding Coconut, and Green Tea-Peppermint.
To sum it up: It’s chocolate + charity.
