An occupational hazard of being a mom: You forget (to flip laundry, fill out a picture day form, return the library books ) more than you remember.
Thankfully for moments that matter, there’s The Great Remember, a company that takes your children’s preschool doodles, quotes, and baby clothes and repurposes them into unforgettable artworks.
Artist Lisa Waltuch launched her website after struggling with ways to capture memories of her own kids. Calling on the work she explored as an MFA student at Rhode Island School of Design, she adapted two mediums to harness those moments: large-scale mosaic and applique.
Choose from stretch-canvas mosaics that incorporate your little Picasso’s artwork into templates and grids, or textural appliques that transform your child’s clothing into multilayered cameos, silhouettes, and designs.
Either way you go, Waltuch won’t draw a blank.
