On the anniversary of the Challenger explosion, two long-standing artist trios (and friends) go head to head in a construction competition.
Why: Audience members are responsible for selecting the most cleverly designed carrier.
When: Fri., 6-10 p.m.

The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger
What:
Sean Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl perform ’60s-inspired pop/folk tunes.
Why: Lennon’s hypnotic crooning and acoustic guitar enhanced by Muhl’s smart lyrics and melody.

What:
Twelve up-and-coming Northwest dance troupes — including Crispin Spaeth, Josephine’s Echopraxia, and Sandstrommovement — compete for $10,000.

Jewelry designer Elizabeth Patterson and photographer Lauren Max team up for a one-night-only showcase of works.
Why: Patterson’s nature-inspired, stone-encrusted chains are inspiration for Winkleman’s moody, fashionable portraits.
