What: The former Seattle artist (now living in L.A.) returns to present his emotive, found sound-based composition.
Why: Snippets recorded via cellphone in locations worldwide are digitally enhanced and inspired by the bodily gestures of artist Taisha Paggett’s Untitled (Gray Scale).

Hair, Makeup & Mimosas
What: Spun Sustainable Collective hosts an afternoon with beauty experts from Twig cosmetics and Robert Leonard Salon & Spa.
Why: Spring cosmetic tips and quick hairstyling tricks (including complimentary tinsel extensions from the salon), along with drinks and apps.
When: Sat., 1-5 p.m.

FETE
The New Guard at the Hedreen Gallery
What: The interdisciplinary art/food/music dinner series ($50) moves to the Seattle U gallery space on campus, hosted within its bank of tall windows.
Why: Brian O’Connor and Josh Henderson (from the soon-to-open Skillet Street Diner) cook up a storm for House Systems’s showing of Waterworld. Music by sweet-voiced crooner Bryan John Appleby, too.
