FIT grad Phillip Salem’s first shot at opening a boutique hit the bull’s-eye. Inside, a floor-to-ceiling arch made from brown paper bags frames walls lined with men’s and women’s clothing (sorted by color, of course). Salem stocks hard-to-find international lines, is partial to New York designers, and and insists on treating all visitors like Beyoncé.
