Shiny, Happy Houses
Maid Green Ecofriendly Cleaning Service
The last time you got high, you were on your hands and knees in a bathroom.
No, Pete Doherty wasn’t crashing at your pad. You were just scrubbing your tub with bleach — and all of a sudden you felt … a little … woozy…
Perhaps it’s time to come to your senses and find some help. Our suggestion? Maid Green. Peter Nahed started the family-owned and -operated organic cleaning service after he tired of seeing his mother, Claudia, get sick so often from her job as a housekeeper. Now she’s in tip-top shape, as the two use only orange-based cleaning products and microfiber cloths and mops.
You might be leery when your place doesn’t reek of chemicals, but rest assured it’s clean as a whistle. And if you’ve got to have some kind of scent to prove the bacteria have left the building, they’ll leave a few natural air fresheners behind.
After all, no one said quitting was going to be easy.

Bean There, Done That
Espresso Yourself Natural Tanning Facial
There’s a reason your morning alarm rings with the Folgers jingle. While some people (bakers, triathletes, Cinderella) are just naturally chipper before, oh, noon, you need a little chemical assistance.
Even if it existed, you’d never go so far as a caffeine injection (thanks, Requiem for a Dream), but what about rubbing it all over your face? RikRak Salon’s two steps ahead of you with its Espresso Yourself Natural Tanning Facial.
A jolt for your complexion, the treatment includes a homemade espresso bean and brown sugar scrub, facial massage, and natural espresso and sugar cane mask, which leaves a subtle sun-kissed glow. A complimentary coffee follows at the Beauty Bar.
A word of caution: This facial is for lovers of the bean only, as you’ll smell fresh brewed all day. But at least you don’t have to be awake at the butt crack of dawn to enjoy it.
After all, is there really a “best” part of waking up?
