    Packing Eat

Whisk Gourmet Brown Bag and Picnic Lunches

You’ll always remember your Dukes of Hazzard lunch box. But you’d never be able to get a whole bottle of Moët into the General Lee thermos.

You’ve never packed your own lunch anyway (after all, that’s what Mom and takeout are for), and Whisk Gourmet is okay with that. In fact, they want to handle your goodies.

In addition to offering daily specials (which they’ll e-mail to you every morning) like grilled squash with caramelized onions and Thai BBQ chicken, organic ingredients, and a full catering service (private chef dinner party to all-out gala), the new gourmet lunch and dinner spot in the Gables will pack your brown bag or picnic.

Call ahead or just walk in and chef Brendan Connor, who co-owns Whisk with his sister Kristin, will throw together the perfect sack lunch — sandwich, salad, and fresh baked dessert — which you can take back to either the office or your favorite hooky spot.

All you need to bring is the bubbly.

    And your Daisy Dukes.

Whisk Gourmet, 4702 South le Jeune Road, Coral Gables (786-268-8350 or whiskgourmet.com).

    Wine69 Wine Bar Opens

You love your dive bars. The dimmer the lights, the sketchier the bathrooms, the better.

Of course, roughing it does have its disadvantages: no one you’d even think about leaving with (or even wanting to see in the daylight) and next day’s ashtray hair.

Let Wine69 be the yin to your cheap G&T yang. The wine bar just opened along the construction hellhole that is Biscayne Boulevard, so after braving the gravel pits and puddles, you’ll need a glass (or three) from the cozy spot’s extensive collection.

Owner Ben Neji says he’s been drinking wine since he was a kid (it’s okay, he’s from France), and he’s stocked the bistro-style space with more than 200 bottles, many of which come from small-production vineyards around the world.

Be sure to order a few plates from the menu, such as the baked brie with caramelized onions, candied walnuts, and apricot preserves; or the spinach, goat cheese, and tomato quiche.

And the bathrooms? They’ve even got toilet paper.

    Wine69, 6909 Biscayne Boulevard (305-759-0122).

    Taylor Made Cookies

In the immortal words of Cher Horowitz: “When a boy comes over, always have something baking.”

And just like Cher’s, your cookies always end up with a consistency somewhere between tree bark and hockey puck. Next time you feel the need to impress with baked goods, save some oven watts (and your dignity) and give Kimesha Wing a call.

The event planner has been taking orders for her delectable cookies from friends and family for years, so when she needed something to do while a bun was cooking in her own oven, Wing started Taylor Made Cookies (named after her daughter).

Order a spread of white chocolate chip with macadamias, peanut butter kisses, and madeleines for the corporate party; Mexican wedding cookies for the big day; or a dozen classic chocolate chip just to have around the house for late-night munchies.

And when your SO wonders where the last of the snickerdoodles went?

    Just play clueless.
