Knead the Way
Organic Grace Mobile Spa
You’d buy a hybrid — if you weren’t on a ’93 Taurus budget. Do all your shopping at the organic grocery store — if you could survive on three meals a week. And totally invest in all new clothes made by well-paid third world artisans — if that stuff ever went on clearance.
Forget the basic necessities and indulge in a visit from new and very affordable Organic Grace, a mobile spa that uses all-natural products for their services.
Organize a spa party for the bride-to-be (or just because) or get naked by your lonesome for one of Organic Grace’s signature treatments. The Achilles (“for the workout or workday warrior”), for example — ginger and citrus salt scrub; eucalyptus, rosemary, and clary sage body wrap; mint, orange, and oatmeal facial mask; foot massage; and arnica oil muscle melt — will leave you both energized and totally relaxed.
Your favorite kind of hybrid.

Massage Your Eco
Uhma Spa & Shop
“Take off everything but your underwear and lie face down,” commanded Antonio. Blushing slightly, Chloe obliged as he reached for a bottle of warm oil.
“Wait,” cried Chloe, “is that silicone based?”
Ecofriendliness can be a real mood killer (no, you cannot feed me those imported chocolates — food miles, hello?). Newly opened Uhma Spa & Shop, however, has managed to strike a perfect balance between healthy environment and pure ecstasy.
Everything in the space takes the planet into consideration, from the low-flow faucets, to the shop’s organic bath and body products, to the treatments. Signature massages include the Sabai Herbal Ball massage, which incorporates a warm herbal ball that compresses to the body’s energy points; and the Tian Di Bamboo, which uses warm bamboo sticks to apply deep pressure and heat.
We know, sounds a little S&M.
But trust us, this one’s sure to have a happy ending.

You Complete Me
Me Day Spa Opens
You encourage bad drivers to do better (four-letter words seem to work best), enforce the one-per-person rule on Krispy Kreme day at work (Janice is in OA), and always opt for the closest parking spot (the gift of physical fitness).
Me Day Spa thinks you deserve a break from all that benevolence. The renovated cottage on Alton, tucked behind taco shop Lime, packs a lot of primping into its cozy space.
Under vaulted ceilings and exposed beams: mani/pedi stations, a hair salon, and three facial rooms. Their special carotene treatment will leave your hair nourished and glossy, while the spa’s facialist does everything from glycolic treatments to mango peels with expert skill.
The spa also features several lines of skin care products, scented soy candles, beach mats, journals, and other self-indulging goodies — all of which make perfect gifts.
Though you might want to stay away from the Cleavage Cupcakes — Mom didn’t exactly love the padded bra for her birthday.
Really, you were only trying to help.
