I Know What You’ll Hold This Summer

Sabrina Love Bags

You idolized her in Party of Five. Cringed when she played Hepburn. Smirked at the MOWs. Cheered when she slammed the paparazzi.

Think you have mixed feelings about Jennifer Love Hewitt? Imagine what it’s like for Sabrina Love Rodriguez.

After years of hating her middle name, the Seattleite has finally embraced it — by creating Sabrina Love handbags.

The simple, ladylike totes and clutches are made from ultra-soft Italian leather. The classic shapes come in neutrals like red, cream, and black and were more than a little inspired by icons like Grace Kelly and (the real) Audrey Hepburn.

The bow-adorned Paris clutch is the right mix of vintage and debutante; the Marais tote is as relaxed as a boatneck top and capris.

You’ll appreciate their refreshing lack of controversy.

Even if it is your middle name.

Thanks a Brazilian

Carolina Pagano Shoes

Dance floor fiascoes are the number one contributor to workplace chagrin. This year, be responsible: Study up with Miss Twinkletoes’s easy at-home lessons.

Step 1: Slide out of your wellies.

Step 2: Sidestep bulky socks.

Step 3: Turn to a pair of sexy handmade Carolina Pagano shoes. Seattle designer Carolina Sadowski references her native Brazil in the hardware (natural bone beads), accent fabrics (satin, linen), and colors (skin, sand, magenta), which exude saucy luxury.

Step 4: Samba in the festive Sonia slide. Hustle in the strappy Capola. Or pas de bourrée in the Bea ballerina flat with its sweetly sizable bow.

Step 5: Finish with a flashy finale (jazz hands optional).

And just like that you’ll feel like the cock of the walk.

Available at Posh on Main, 10245 Main Street, Bellevue (425-454-2022 or poshonmain.com).

Treasure Island

Anna Korte Vintage Jewelry

As any pirate knows, there’s good loot (fancy jewels, golden medallions, vintage rum) to be plundered if you know where to look.

And Anna Korte does. The Portland-based jewelry designer scours Rose City antiques stores, estate sales, and jewelry warehouses for unusual pieces.

Korte repurposes her bohemian treasures (horseshoe charms, leather gloves) into earrings and necklaces — all of which are named after bits of poetry by writers (E.E. Cummings, John Burroughs) who inspire her.

Fringed anchors made from textured leather lend an arty appeal, while brassy ball-bearing chains, whistle charms, and orb lockets transform old into new.

Aye, aye, me hearties: It’s one serious booty call.
