Jana Zacek Mulberry & Me Opening shop in the midst of a recession is ballsy. Luckily, Zacek has what it takes. Her tiny Wicker Park boutique bursts with exclusive indie designers and is proudly standing the test of time.

Mulberry & Me Boutique
Explaining the lack of boutiques west of Damen on Division is like decoding hieroglyphics.
For a shop that speaks your language, try Mulberry & Me, a sweet new store with an East Coast presence.
M&M is the first venture from Jana Zacek, a sprightly Texan (by way of the Czech Republic) with killer style. After living on Mulberry Street in New York for a smidge, she moved westward, riskily opening her store three weeks ago.
Zacek picks new lines that are hard to come by in these parts: slinky dresses by Daughters of the Revolution (the designer is inspired by her grandma’s old handkerchiefs), zipper skirts by Objets Trouvés, The Battalion’s ecofriendly bamboo leggings, T-shirt dresses by Young Fabulous & Broke, Parker silk tops, and Corey Lynn Calter dresses.
Prices are totally reasonable.
And that’s never lost in translation.
