HungChains Glasses Chains
Ooh, Dewey, your decimal system is so hot. Won’t you put it in my card catalog?
We love it when you talk library.
Which is why our newest obsession is HungChains, a line of accessories for your glasses that evokes a naughty ’50s librarian.
Handmade from recycled materials, HungChains is the bifocal baby of Miami Beach-raised Rachel Lauren Bleemer and Alexandra Goodstone, who have known each other since preschool and decided to combine a tendency to misplace glasses with their love of fashion.
What to wear on a stroll through the stacks: the Medusa, a trio of snake-like chains in silver, gunmetal, and gold; the Gold Rush, a twist of gold chain and black leather; and the Mr. T — we pity the fool who tries to steal your shades off the big chain-link number.
After all, one should always practice safe specs.
Available at Midtown Consignment, 2328 North Miami Avenue, Wynwood (305-573-5307); online at hungchains.com.
