Alice and Isa Private Shopping Parties
You’ve got it all planned: You’ll name your firstborn daughter Alice (after Waters), your son Michael (after Pollan), grow purslane and ramps in your backyard, and eat locally ever after.
While you’re dreaming? Extend the philosophy to your wardrobe with a private shopping party hosted by online boutique Alice and Isa.
Founders Stephanie Belfiore and Dawn Miller exclusively stock accessories from SF-based designers — and will bring their entire bounty of jewelry, handbags, hats, and more to you and at least seven friends. (Imagine a Tupperware party, with no pyramid scheme and homegrown baubles instead.)
Guests are free to experiment without a must-buy minimum, and the lucky hostess gets 20 percent off for the day. All you’ll have to do is choose between Ach Ach Liebling’s brass-metal ID bracelets, printed Blissful wristlets, and Jennifer Tuton’s Moroccan teardrop earrings.
But that’s the shopivore’s dilemma.
