The Inside Scoop

Parfait Organic Artisan Ice Cream Truck

Lately Seattle’s streets teem with buttercream. Waffle cones waft by walkers. And countless tiny spoons tuck into tubs for tastes.

But true scoop savants never get enough.

Jump on the bandwagon with Parfait’s adorable mobile shop. Adria Shimada’s tiny operation churns out small batches of made-from-scratch organic ice cream available solely from what looks like a gussied-up FedEx truck.

Flavors like Northwest hazelnut, Meyer lemon bar, and fresh mint stracciatella get served in homemade Norwegian krumkake waffle cones or biodegradable dishes.

There’s milk from Fresh Breeze Organic Dairy, eggs from Stiebrs Farm, and — like any good local creamery — a coffee flavor using beans from a Seattle roaster (Caffe Fiore).

C’est parfait.
