“Dinner theater”: a phrase that conjures images of cruise ship murder mysteries, Vegas show girls, and lots of eye rolling.
But that all changes with Sensorium, a pop-up supper show taking place inside a geodesic dome for a limited run this spring.
Avant-garde dishes play the lead in this intimate theatrical production. Creator and chef Bryon Brown (Minibar, Cork, Artisa Kitchen supper clubs) presents a dozen experimental courses paired with wine and art vignettes.
Visually elaborate plates — brined duck breast with braised chestnuts and horseradish snow; sous vide rockfish with cubed rainbow cauliflower — are served by costumed actors in a choreography of music, lights, and action.
It really makes a scene.
