You’re okay with a hammer and screwdriver, but kitchen tools have never been your strong suit.

Leave the heavy lifting to Whisked, a new stall at the 14th & U Farmers Market from food bloggers Jenna Huntsberger (ModernDomestic) and Stephanie Willis (Adventures in Shaw).

The bloggers-cum-bakers turn out classic handmade treats with a twist, like brownie sandwiches stuffed with vanilla cream, Cracker Jack and grasshopper bars, and salted caramel buttercream cupcakes (an online exclusive for now). There are also savory asparagus and goat cheese tarts, not to mention the spinach, basil, and sun dried-tomato quiche.

But the ladies really nail the hand pies — fruit filling encased in a flaky crust. You can buy them individually or in sampler packs.

The desire for more will be wrenching.
