Midday Dining at Le Zinc

French Bistro Classics for Lunch and Brunch

le zinc does lunch and brunch!

Your enthusiasm for lunch waned when you had to retire that Care Bears lunch box and thermos set.

Get excited again at Le Zinc, the recently opened Cleveland Park gem introduces weekday lunch and weekend brunch.

Run by ever-charming restaurateur John Warner and chef David Ashwell (Marcel’s, Brasserie Beck), the neighborhood spot serves French-inspired dishes like mussels in white wine and garlic, steak frites, and fried goat cheese salad with tomato jam. Egg-focused staples appear on weekends.

Pay special attention to the dining room images of Bob Marley, Winston Churchill, and Warner’s grandmother, all shot by old-school street photographer Weegee. If you’re in a rush, grab a seat at the zinc-topped bar in back. Or, for a more leisurely lunch, park it at an umbrella-shaded outdoor table and sip a champagne cocktail.

Sure beats a juice box.
