You like to lay it on thick and have been known to hit the sauce.
So you’ll fit in just fine at Pork Barrel BBQ Restaurant, the new spot from the creators of the eponymous barbecue sauce, where you can get everything slathered in the stuff.
Owners Heath Hall and Brett Thompson left the world of red-hot politics to create the sweet, spicy, and mustardy spreads. After winning a bunch of awards, the pair have opened their own restaurant and bar, where they serve the spicy condiments their way.
Take a seat at the communal table for ribs, pulled pork, sausage, brisket, or chicken (note: They hold the National Chicken Champion title) and side dishes like baked beans, coleslaw, or corn pudding.
Or sidle up to the bar for local or Texas beers (think Port City and Lone Star) and swig-worthy cocktails like smoked rosemary lemonade with Jack Daniel’s.
Jump on the wagon.
