Sing a song of sixpence,
A pocket full of rye.
Four and twenty blueberries,
Baked in a pie.
Or perhaps raspberries, strawberries, or blackberries, depending on your preference. Get your fruit fill from the Pie Sisters of Georgetown, the new sororal sweets team in town.
After years of taking special orders, the three Blakely sibs (who started baking in their mother’s kitchen) have quietly opened their own brick-and-mortar shop.
Go crazy for traditional faves (Key lime, lemon meringue, coconut cream, pecan) or more modern creations (apple-sour cream crunch, jumble berry). We suggest springing for the cuppies ($4), tiny handheld pies you can eat on the run.
Or set before a king.
Pie Sisters of Georgetown, 3423 M Street Northwest (202-338-7437 or piesisters.com), $14-$37.
