We tend to frequent the brighter spots within this city’s crazy-ass microclimates.
One reason to bear the cloak of condensation to the west: Aptly dubbed Foggy Notion opens today in the Inner Richmond.
Owner Alissa Anderson culls home goods, jewelry, organic skin care, accessories, and wall art from creative friends (mostly near, some far) in the shop-cum-studio: Anzfer Farms rustic fixtures, Captain Blankenship fragrant salts, Job & Boss’s to-dye-for bags. Covet exclusives like Lay Swing’s geometric pillows and Wood&Faulk’s waxed canvas bags, or DIY at the Mason jar bar (with pump or Cuppow sippie tops for your customizing pleasure).
Don’t miss Mittenmaker, Anderson’s own collection of zip pouches, wallets, and cosmetic bags made from discarded leather scraps and Pampero rum leather bags.
Here comes the sun.
Foggy Notion, 275 Sixth Avenue, between California and Clement Streets, suite 101 (415-683-5654 or foggy-notion.com). Meet and greet the designers at the grand opening party, Friday, 6 to 9 p.m.
