You envisioned yourself heading south on the back of a Harley this summer. Reality check: The season’s half over and all you have is a ten-speed with a flat tire.
Earl Salko’s line of motorcycle jackets and jeans evokes the lure of the open road, minus the road rash.
Our hearts go vroom for soft yet sturdy washed denim. Narrow pants with ribbing at the thigh and knee mimic the protective padding of a classic leather pair. Once you wiggle into the shrunken coat with a nipped-in waist, you’ll long for swimsuit weather to give way to an early fall chill.
Every piece is stitched in a Kensington factory, and the designer (a Philadelphia University grad) names tough yet beautiful messes like Joan Jett and Kate Moss as her ideal clientele.
Ladies, start your engines.
