Jasper's Has a New Old-Fashioned Drink

When it comes to seasonal gurus, it’s all about the Kevins.

Kevin McAllister whipped up microwave meals and defended his home against burglars. Kevin Diedrich, bar manager at Jasper’s Corner Tap & Kitchen, saves us from ho-hum cocktails.

We asked for his take on a timeless drink, just in time for the holidays.

Jasper’s Old-Fashioned
Serves one

2 oz. Rittenhouse Rye 100
2 dashes Angostura bitters
2 dashes Angostura orange bitters
1 dash Fee Brothers old-fashioned bitters
1 bar spoon demerara syrup (2 parts brown sugar to 1 part water)
Lemon twist
Orange twist

1. Stir rye, bitters, and syrup together.

2. Strain over a big ice cube in a double rocks glass.

3. Garnish with lemon and orange twists.

4. Go ahead, give it a whirl.
