Nesting Instinct: Casa Kids Tuck Collection

A twin bed that makes room for another baby

It’s hard to live large as a family unit in an urban area. Two toddlers, a Chihuahua, and your shoe collection have you fighting for every last square inch of space.

To help win the battle: Casa Kids’ new Tuck collection. Inspired children’s furniture designer Roberto Gil’s latest creation is the modern-day answer to the Murphy bed. Available in twin and full sizes, the all-natural birch plywood bed takes up only twelve inches of valuable floor space when folded into a self-contained wall unit.

The beds can be installed horizontally or vertically, depending on what’s best for your layout. Plus, each bed is backed with a whiteboard, a chalkboard, or a magnetic metal surface, so the bottom of the bed is both functional and fun for kids.

Available at casakids.com; twin, $1,800; full, $2,200. NYC delivery and installation, $400.
