When you’re whizzing down Meridian Hill, your two-wheeled commute is a breeze. Back up? Not so much.
Increase your endurance at new fitness studio Peloton Cycling.
As you walk in, a sepia-tone poster of Tour de France riders sharing a cigarette provides a hint of levity. Workouts, however, mean business.
The founders are out to light fires with high-energy classes (twenty riders max). Each 45-minute session burns 500 calories. There’s enough space for mats between the bikes, so be prepared for stretching and arm work, too.
On the horizon? A green-themed St. Patrick’s Day class ($15) and classes where drag queens cheer you on.
Warning: Peloton is habit forming and may cause a smoking butt.
