Passover and Easter Feasters

Full stomachs, clean plates, can't lose

the hay-adams hotel easter!

Whether you hide-and-hunt for the afikoman or chocolate eggs, there’s no disguising spring holiday eats that are worth celebrating.

Easter Buffet
Eat:
Brunch in the otherwise private rooftop dining room overlooking the White House. This VIP spread has icy shellfish, dumplings, sushi, and beef tenderloin, as well as Josh Short’s desserts (see: homemade Peeps).
Sip: A glass of Scharffenberger Brut.
When: Sun., 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Where: The Hay-Adams, 800 16th St. NW, b/t H & I Sts. (202-638-6600). Cost is $100 per person; $50 for children ages 4-12.

Buona Pasqua
Eat:
Nicholas Stefanelli’s three-course prix fixe offers fried artichokes, English pea risotto, and slow-roasted lamb shoulder with fava beans and pecorino zabaglione.
Sip: A carbonated Negroni or rare wines.
When: Sun., 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Where: Bibiana, 1100 New York Ave. NW (202-216-9550). Cost is $45 per person.

Chocolate and Champagne Brunch
Eat:
Grown-up grilled cheese on truffle brioche, ricotta pancakes with white chocolate lemon cream, unlimited house-made chocolates, plus anything the Easter bunny slips you.
Sip: Any one of four mimosas.
When: Sun., 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
Where: Co Co. Sala, 929 F St. NW, b/t 9th & 10th Sts. (202-347-4265). Cost is $60 per person; $30 for kids 10 and under.

Passover and Easter Brunch and Dinner
Eat:
Owner Dean Gold pays tribute to his mother, Ella, with a labor-intensive Passover menu (Seder plates by request tonight). Come Easter, spring veggies such as radicchio get the star treatment.
Sip: Unlimited 21-spice Bloody Marys for brunch ($12).
When: Seder menu thru Apr. 1 (adults, $59; children, $25). Easter menu, Sun., 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Brunch cost is $39 for adults, $22.50 for children; dinner is a la carte.

Passover Dinner
Eat:
The modern Jewish deli offers a four-course menu of matzo ball soup, herb-crusted cod, braised lamb with spiced carrot tzimmes, and apple and rhubarb crumble with cardamom ice cream.
Sip: Beverage director Brian Zipin pairs the likes of sherry, an Israeli cab, and Vermont ice cider with each course.
When: Thru Sun.
Where: DGS Delicatessen, 1317 Connecticut Ave. NW, south of Dupont Circle (202-293-4400). Cost is $40 per person; $60 with wine.

Passover and Easter Brunch
Eat:
Heirloom beets, brisket, and flourless chocolate cake in a five-course Seder menu that’s by the book. A three-course menu of Easter specials includes hand-pulled burrata, scallops with ginger beer nage, red quinoa risotto, and mocha pot de crème with beignets.
Sip: Wines from Israel.
When: Seder menu thru Apr. 2 ($45 per person, $60 with wines). Easter menu, Sun., noon-4 p.m. ($48 per person).

Easter Brunch
Eat:
Tough decisions await. A three-course a la carte menu pits your favorites against each other — Maine lobster parfait or foraged mushroom salad, Liberty Farms steak and eggs or poached Cape May flounder, chocolate peanut butter bar or Meyer lemon panna cotta.
Sip: Bottomless Bellinis ($19).
When: Sun., 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Where: Lincoln Restaurant, 1110 Vermont Ave. NW, b/t M & L Sts. (202-386-9200). Cost is $45 per person; $21 for children ages 4-12.

Passover
Eat:
All the greats — gefilte fish, chopped liver, brisket, roasted salmon, and honey cake — at the casual NYC-style deli.
Sip: Dr. Brown’s Cel-Ray soda.
When: Thru Wed.
Where: Parkway Deli & Restaurant, 8317 Grubb Rd., at Blaine Dr., Silver Spring (301-587-1427). Three-course dinner is $16.

Greek Easter
Eat:
A five-week celebration includes special menus and cooking classes with noted Greek cookbook author Aglaia Kremezi, plus a spit-roasted lamb shoulder feast. In case you can’t make it to Penn Quarter, Pepe, José Andrés’s food truck, will serve lamb sandwiches.
Sip: The Apokreas cocktail in honor of the wine god Dionysos.
When: Thru May 5. Easter brunch, Sun., 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
