In Her Shoes

Old Town Shoe Repair

Buying shoes is a lot like getting married.

Both transform you into an obsessive loon, can cost an arm and a leg, and require a little love and attention to keep from falling apart.

When it comes to matters of the sole, turn to Don Rodrigo Restrepo, a magician masquerading as a cobbler at Old Town Shoe and Luggage Repair. Replace a heel? Child’s play. Worn a hole through the leather? He’s got your foot covered. He’ll even adjust heel height if your fave three-inchers aren’t workweek friendly.

Don’t underestimate the tiny hole-in-the-wall shop. Restrepo is known in certain circles for turning too-snug knee-high stilettos into boots that fit like a glove. And while couples therapy isn’t his thing, he promises to keep your feet in tip-top shape.

Here’s hoping a firm foundation will keep you on good footing in the rest of your life, too.
