Going Postal

Telegram Stationery

Dear Travis,

It’s really been too long. I’ve been meaning to send you a telegram. (I know how you hate modern communication and love the Depression Era.) But, you see, I’ve been so preoccupied writing the great American novel. (It’s a Hemingway-esque opus: short sentences, sexually confused men, bulls). Plus, I’ve taken up Yahtzee.

By the time I went to send the telegram, they’d been discontinued. But procrastination is the mother of buying stuff online — so, lo and behold, I’m finally writing to you on 16 Sparrows’s telegram stationery.

Inspired by ’20s British telegrams, the notes are hand silk-screened and printed on heavyweight baby blue paper made from 100 percent recycled fiber. And the sets come with official-looking light gray envelopes with old-fashioned metal fasteners. So I can finally get this message to you:

You rocked me to the core stop

Alright, got to go hit Craigslist. In need of a platonic Yahtzee partner and a red cape (you know, research for the book).

Yours,
Moana
