The year: 1989.
The occasion: prom.
The dress: a multicolored, asymmetrical explosion.
Your hair: a multicolored, asymmetrical explosion.
These aren’t memories. They’re scars on the landscape of your life.
Save others from such a regrettable sartorial fate by donating clothes to Project Prom and Graduation. The D.C. Child and Family Services Agency runs the clothing drive, and all items contributed go right to prom- and graduation-bound teenagers who are living in foster homes.
The agency accepts clean, undamaged dresses; men’s suits; shoes; accessories; and gift certificates for hair styling, manicures, facials, and makeup. You’ll be filling a need — and helping create fond memories for someone else.
Seeing as how you’ve given up on your own.
Project Prom and Graduation drop off April 4-7, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Child and Family Services Agency, 400 6th Street SW, between D and School Streets, first floor lobby, room b.
