Why: Pony rides and patriotism.

The Devil Wears Prada Party
What: Post-screening benefit for Suited for Change.
Why: The entertainment dresses like Anna Wintour. (So weird.)
When: Thurs., 9-11 p.m.

HEAR
The Nitrate Hymnal
What: Post-punk opera numbers performed by Anti-Social Music and the Gena Rowlands Band.
Why: Better than going to church the next day.

EAT
Black’s Bar & Kitchen
What: New space, new menu, communal table, patio, and small plates like corn dogs and corn cakes with green tomato jam.
Why: It’s not as corny as it sounds.

Potomac Pizza
What: To celebrate opening, the new pizza place will give 100 percent of sales to charity throughout the weekend.
