Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
And daffodils are more inspiring
than either of the two.
At least they are for designer Rupert Sanderson, who named each shoe in his new spring and summer line after a variety of the flower.
Like the delicately structured bloom, the collection features pretty silhouettes carefully crafted by Italian artisans. Sanderson, an Englishman who’s designed for Sergio Rossi and Bruno Magli, uses fine leather and traditional techniques. British sensibility meets an Italian appreciation for curves.
Slide into Dorian, a fresh metallic peach shoe with the designer’s signature top-stitched knot and alluring peep toe. Slip on smart-yet-sexy Kai heels in earthy chocolate and with a double-padded buckle. Or pick Helicon flats with perforated leather detailing in bright silver and blue.
Each pair is classically refined, subtly flirtatious, and will put a little spring in your step.
Theoretically speaking, that is.
