Magnets are so versatile.

They attract things like, um, other magnets. They can be used to post an anonymous fridge note to your roommate: “Girl who no clean suck.” And they make the putting-the-hair-on-the-bald-guy’s-head game possible.

And now, designer Antonio Ben Chimol introduces yet another use: magnet and leather bracelets.

The piece wraps around the wrist three full times and is held firmly in place by a super magnet. The closure eliminates the need for a traditional clasp (and with it, that awkward balancing act involving your opposite hand and your front teeth). Plus, it looks cool.

Choose from glossy leather cords in a bunch of colors — simple black with a silver closure plays up its modern, industrial origins, while a purple-and-gold combo is a bit more regal. You can even double up a few contrasting colors on the same arm.

Because, in this case, opposites most certainly do attract.
