Dear Summer,

It’s been fun. I won’t forget those frolics on the beach or the lazy days lounging around wearing next to nothing.

So hard as it is for me to say this, I must let you know that, for now, we must part ways. It’s not you; it’s me. The timing is just all wrong.

Right now, my heart is with Jamison knits. I didn’t mean for this to happen, but the fall collection of jackets, sweaters, dresses, and tops are exactly what I need right now.

Don’t get jealous when I am wrapped up in a ruffled cardigan with bell sleeves and big buttons down the front or if you catch me cozying up with the cable-knit dress in a rich cream color. And, of course, I’ll feel protected in a midthigh ribbed jacket with a full shape and wide sleeves.

I just felt too exposed and vulnerable in our relationship. I need something a little more comforting and nurturing.

So let’s make this easy and say good-bye now. Before things heat up again.
