Picture this: You’re sitting in a Parisian cafe, penning a sonnet and watching the crowds, when an attractive man walks up and says, “Excuse me, do you know how to get back to 95?”
Oh, wait. You’re at Fontaine Caffe & Creperie, a new Euro cafe opening tomorrow in Old Town.
Chef/owner Kyong Yi, formerly of Galileo and Teatro Goldoni, is serving sweet and savory crepes in a Francophile setting (light blue walls and little wooden tables that will go outside when it’s warm).
Try the Viennese Waltz with apricots, chocolate ice cream, brandy, and whipped cream; or the Tuscan, with Italian sausage, tomatoes, and cannellini beans. Wash them down with cafe au lait, boleƩ de cidre (French sparkling cider served in a traditional ceramic bowl) or one of the many international wines and beers.
Fontaine’s quaint yet romantic atmosphere makes it the ideal venue for a rendezvous.
And more than suitable for amour.
