“(I) Love Letters” Book

Ever wonder, wonder who wrote the book of love?

We can’t help with that, but we can offer some quality inspiration.

(I) Love Letters is a booklet of more than a dozen love letters from romantics (James Joyce), geniuses (Albert Einstein), and crazy spouses (Zelda Fitzgerald).

The epistles, which span four centuries, were selected by two local letterpress printers who sifted through heaps of material at the Library of Congress. The resulting collection captures famous figures at their most earnest, like Lewis Carroll appreciating peaches or Edith Wharton lamenting her lack of romantic experience.

Each letter is hand-set in a different typeface to showcase its style and era.

There’s even a dedicated page in the beginning for your own attempt.

Letter roll.
