Want to star in the next Tarantino project? (Don’t worry: No ear-severing or other gratuitous violence involved.)
D.C. artists Ann Tarantino and Kate McGraw are collaborating on a project to help launch art collections and involve people in their new exhibition — and it features a role just for you.
The duo, backed by The Pink Line Project, launches a website today selling original prints of their colorful, dynamic work for $50 a pop. The money raised from each sale will go toward a video documenting their new installation, a physical performance piece around wall art with punk music and artist interaction.
Each patron will be recognized in the completed video and invited to the kick-off party.
It’s a new frontier for art house cinema.
Available online at wedrawdc.com. Exhibit, March 19-April 17, at The Gallery at Flashpoint, 916 G Street NW, between 9th and 10th Streets (202-315-1305 or flashpointdc.org).
