Sharpen those putt-putt skills (and tiny pencils). If you’re going to join the new H Street Country Club, you have to fit in.
Tee off inside the massive golf-themed resto/bar/club, opening today. Head upstairs immediately and take a swing on the nine-hole course, which features K Street Lawyer, U Street, and Dead Presidents holes.
Cleats aren’t necessary, but knickers seem appropriate for rooms decked in argyle walls, turf-covered awnings, and trophy chandeliers.
Break from play for Mexican entrees of pork rib carnitas and snapper Veracruz designed by Ann Cashion. Putter back to the first level for billiards, shuffleboard, Skee-Ball, and to fuel up on small plates. Lobster tostadas and spicy tamales are no bogey.
Of course, tequila-based cocktails are practically a must on the turf.
Go get ’em, tiger.
