J&G Steakhouse Opens

Welcome to the school of tarts and letters. We’ve lost several of our best students to the working world.

Notably, today J&G are launching a steakhouse at W’s new space downtown.

In a tall Beaux Arts dining room overlooking Pershing Park, J&G (under Jean-Georges Vongerichten) serve Maryland crab cakes in a ginger-lime vinaigrette and glazed short ribs with caramelized onion.

After dinner, the roof houses your peers who’ve combined to form POV bar. The menu (from Sasha Petraske and Justin Guthrie) features touches like fresh juices and custom ice cubes. Grab a zebra chair inside for light snacks and drinks like the minty lemon Tetens Swizzle. Outside, look down on the White House with a shaken pina colada at the faux grass bar.

It’ll be an alpha bet.
