You’re a poser.
Between the fake smile and lack of focus, you’re slow to develop.
It’s time to get out of the frame and step behind the lens. Start with a workshop from local photographer Kate Headley. Open to beginner and intermediate skill levels, classes are designed to give everyday people the tools and techniques to shoot in a nonstudio environment.
Bring your camera, curiosity, and pics you’d like to emulate. You’ll learn about equipment, natural lighting, and composition. Headley keeps classes small so that you have her undivided attention.
She also offers private sessions, where she’ll help you hone your style and edit your images.
Aw, snap.
First photo workshop, Sunday, 2 p.m., at The Athenaeum, 201 Prince Street, Alexandria. To R.S.V.P., e-mail kateheadleyphoto@gmail.com. For more information, go to kateheadleyworkshops.com.
