What: When you’ve finished throwing ’em back at your favorite Columbia Heights watering holes, head to BloomBars for late-night/early morning screenings of audience-selected indies, comedies, and classics.
Why: The creative community space offers snacks and Snuggies (when the weather cools).

The Dinner Party

Rum Weekend
What: Cafe Atlántico honors Haiti with tastings, specially created drinks and flights, and a pairing menu featuring chicken croquettes, fried plantains, and other Caribbean dishes ($9-$30).
Why: Sip on the Kremas a New Whey (rum, milk, and grapefruit) or José’s sour mixing rum (blended with lime juice, simple syrup, and vermouth) to raise money for the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund.
