Hair and Body Wash for Little Bathers

Becoming Baby, Zoe Organics, and More

baby bath wash!

You’d have more luck taming Shamu than giving wiggly baby her bath.

Make it good, clean fun with hair and body washes whipped up just for little splashers. (All are paraben-, phthalate-, and chemical-free.)

Becoming Baby Gentle Foaming Baby Wash
What’s inside:
A pediatrician mom’s delightfully uncomplicated blend of water, organic aloe vera juice, and other light ingredients.
How it smells: Subtle and green, like palm fronds.
The slam dunk: Skin still felt extra supple hours after bath time.
Bottom line: $16 (7.1 fluid ounces) at becomingbabyskincare.com.

Zoe Organics Gentle Hair & Body Wash
What’s inside:
A fresh mix of organic coconut, sunflower, and castor seed oils, plus a dash of lavender and mandarin.
How it smells: Like the earthy oils used for massage.
The slam dunk: Working up a fluffy, playful lather was a cinch.
Bottom line: $7 (1.69 fluid ounces), $14 (5.25 fluid ounces) at zoe-organics.com.

MiniOrganics Gentle Baby Wash
What’s inside:
An Aussie formula of aloe vera juice, orange sweet oil, chamomile, and other ingredients that’s 77 percent organic.
How it smells: As though a Florida orange grove bloomed in your bathtub.
The slam dunk: We loved being able to pour the wash directly on our child’s skin and scalp, rather than pumping it into our palms first.
Bottom line: $33 (4.4 fluid ounces) at goneshopping.ca.

Babo Botanicals Lavender Meadowsweet 3 in 1
What’s inside: A meeting of lavender-melon essential oil and meadowsweet extract that spreads quickly and easily.
How it smells: Like a lavender-spangled French countryside.
The slam dunk: We poured a little under the running faucet in our tub and had an instant bubble bath.
Bottom line: $17 (12 fluid ounces) at babobotanicals.com.
