Between the fear of being ousted by your clique and the wondering if your crush wanted to “go” with you (Go where? The mall?), middle school was hardly easy.

Except when it came to fashion. Armed with skinny Guess jeans, a shaker sweater from the Limited, and a pair of Mia flats, you were golden.
