The Commitments

One Brick

volunteer!

You’ve been staring at the same color chip on the living room wall for six months. Don’t know whether to keep or return those new fall boots. Find the decision to surf or turf paralyzing.

Someone’s got a fear of commitment.

Get over it with One Brick, a nonprofit volunteer organization that’s commitment free.

Sign up with the recently launched D.C. chapter, and they’ll let you know which events and local community organizations need some help. No boring orientation meetings. No tedious paperwork. No long-term promises. Just sign up, show up, and get to it.

You might clean up Barcroft Park’s Four Mile Run. Harvest produce for local food banks. Lend a hand at a local charity golf tournament. Remember, doing one thing is better than doing nothing.

And who knows? A little taste of volunteering might inspire you to take on something  more serious.

Like a final decision on that lunch order.
