Carried Away

Socoley Handbags

it's in the bag!

This is Rosanna Constantinople reporting live from the corner of 14th and U Street.

By now you’ve heard about last week’s tragic accident. A young woman reached into her purse and disappeared. Investigators suspect the woman was suffering from T.B.B. — Too Big a Bag Syndrome.

Doctors are now recommending women take precautions and carry Socoley, a new, reasonably sized line of handbags. The collection comes in soft Italian and patent leathers, but more importantly, the bags are not large enough to swallow you.

Researchers at Georgetown say Socoley makes shoulder bags, clutches, and hobos. But most experts suggest the Bucket for its well-proportioned, expandable pouch. Others claim that the Bubble, with its braided handle and pleated leather, can cure T.B.B. All parties agree that available colors include mustard, charcoal, steel, blue, and red.

We’ll keep you posted as things progress here. Back to you, Mitchell.
