Zen There, Done That
Plum Blossom Opens

Yoga gave you a hernia, and the mini stone waterfall sent your bladder into overdrive.
Seems like you’re having a hard time getting a little Eastern-style tranquility.
That’s about to change with the opening of Plum Blossom, the new restaurant from chef Lance Hanan that puts Eastern twists on Western classics.
The menu, available for lunch and dinner, has plenty of Asian-inspired dishes like Vietnamese barbecue beef, miso honey lamb chops, and Chinkiang salmon. A full-time sushi chef rolls up signatures like the Spicy Kitty (chopped tuna, spicy aioli, papaya, and tobiko) and the Chillo Fritto (tempura snapper, red onion, sweet pepper, eel sauce, and fried garlic).
There’s also a bar with wine, beer, and sake — so feel free to relax all night in the serene, intimate space.
And finally for you, East meets rest.
Plum Blossom, 1915 18th Street NW, between T and Willard Streets (202-232-8881).
