Wine, Oh

Domasoteca Opens

wine not?

Three hundred fifty bottles of wine on the wall. Three hundred fifty bottles of wine. Take one down, pass it around, and try to remember where the hell you are.

You’re at Domasoteca, the newly opened gourmet shop in Arlington. And, yes, you’re staring at more than 350 bottles.

Since you don’t have time to scan every label, we’ll tell you that there’s a huge selection of Virginia-mades, extensive international options, and organic and biodynamic varieties — all hand-selected by a local expert.

And because you cannot live by wine alone, Domasoteca also sells fresh breads made at sister establishment Domaso Trattoria Moderna, hard-to-find organic and artisanal cheeses, antipasti, and specialty chocolates.

The shop promises an ever-rotating selection, so narrowing down to your faves might take forever.

Or at least till you get to the end of that song.

Domasoteca, at the Hotel Palomar, 1121 North 19th Street, Arlington (703-894-5104).
