All Laced Up

Daisy Lacy Jewelry

coming up daisy!

Having hit records isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. (Just ask Wine-0 or Brit Brit.)

But if you’re Daisy Lacy, co-owner of vinyl store Smash (pun not intended), you’ll channel that extra creativity into something more positive.

Like, say, making awesome jewelry. No belly button rings here. Just totally original designs repurposed from pieces found at estate sales, flea markets, and thrift stores around the area.

Top hits include earrings made from cocktail swords (how useful) and an antique watch with an old photo of a donkey in place of the face (wait ’til the ’razzi get a peek at this ass).

If that doesn’t strike a chord, Lacy accepts custom orders — and is open to just about anything.

Kind of like, well … you know.

Smash, 2314 18th Street NW, at Belmont Road, second floor (202-387-6274).
